Dead Poet’s Society could very well be my favorite movie ever. Made in 1989, this great tale of a wonderful teacher who inspires his students to rise out of the norm and be greater than the catacomb they’ve been forced into continues to reach out to watchers everywhere. Being a teenager, the senseless humor in the movie “Anchorman” is not hard to appreciate, and that is why the 2004 movie is one of my favorite comedies. Starring Will Ferrell as Ron Burgundy, who is an anchorman for the Channel 4 News Team, Christina Applegate, who plays Veronica Corningstone, and Steve Carell, who acts as “Brick”, the movie “Anchorman” has not received extravagant reviews by most people, to say the least. However, if you’re looking for extremely childish, but hilarious humor, “Anchorman” just might be the movie for you.

Although many critics say that Twilight is just a weird love-seeking teenage fantasy saga, they are forgetting what ages the author aimed to reach. The Twilight series was made for teenagers, and I might add that a lot of people find it creepy when forty year old women become oddly obsessed with the series. Maybe Twilight is just a fad that will die off, but there’s one thing that will always remain, and that’s the argument of whether the saga is brilliant or just plain stupid.

Okay, we get it when you say that it’s more than just vampires, it’s the romance that makes it great. The fact that Edward and Bella can’t be together but will do anything to do just that, is romantic. Still yet, a lot of people find that sort of love story to be too cliche.

can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen the 1996 comedy hit, “Happy Gilmore”, but it’s a number that can’t be counted on fingers or toes. This hilarious movie stars Adam Sandler as Happy Gilmore, a wannabe hockey player that turned out to be a great golf player. Using his miraculous golf skills to try to earn enough money to save his grandma’s house from foreclosure, Happy wooes us all with his excessive swearing and fragile temper. Year One Quotes

After recently seeing the movie “Year One” in theaters, I was amazed at how well Michael Cera and Jack Black worked together to create such a humorous yet deep movie. Not only was “Year One” hilarious, I think it was one of Jack Black’s best movies ever. Jack Black plays a hunter named Zed that is terrible at hunting. After eating forbidden fruit, he and “Oh”, a gatherer who is played by Michael Cera, must fend for themselves.

After they discover that there is life outside of their village, they run into Cane and Abel, who get into a fight until Cain eventually kills Abel. Shortly after running off with Cain, they discover that their crushes from their old village have been sold into slavery. Now Zed and Oh go through everything to try to save their wannabe lovers. I’ll let you find out the rest for yourself.

Songs from Juno

To add to the uniqueness of the movie “Juno”, which almost falls along the lines of indie, the soundtrack’s indie rhythms and catchy tunes make for some good music even while you’re not watching the movie.

Most of the movie’s songs come from the musical artist Kimya Dawson and the Moldy Peaches. Kimya Dawson, in my opinion, is one of the most friendly people in the music business. According to her bio at her personal website, “She is one of those rare birds that make you feel like she needs you as much as you need her. Her songs make you feel needed and important. And her fans/friends have been doing the same for her. Since the release of early Moldy Peaches recordings she has been hearing people say “thanks for making me realize that I am not the only one out there who feels like this” and to this she replies “thanks for making me realize that I am not the only one out there who feels like this”.”
